Wellness Coach Training Program - Recertification Requirements
Certification Renewal Requirements
- Certified participants must document 30 hours of continuing education over three years, with at least 15 hours from courses and the rest from client coaching hours.
- Upload your certification documentation on your learner profile on this website.
- Submissions must include a certificate of completion with credits earned, student name, course title, instructor, and date. Acceptable continuing education includes coursework and workshops in counseling, psychology, coaching, health behavior change, and specialty areas like sleep or nutrition.
- Mayo Clinic goes by the hours/credits that are earned based on that certificate of completion. We do not accept just a syllabus, course agenda or estimated hours per week as proof of credit earned in lieu of the certificate of completion.
- It is the responsibility of the individual to submit the required documentation of credits at least 1 month prior to the certification expiration date. Complete the Recertification Application form, upload copies of the certificates of CEH/CME credits and/or record Practice Hours in the Wellness Certification Management System.
- If you have not completed the recertification requirements by the required deadline, you will be required to purchase and successfully complete the 12-week program again to reestablish your certification.
